My name is Michele Pond. I have been a physical therapist for over 20 years specializing in orthopedics and sports related injuries.
I graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1999 with a Master of Physical Therapy degree. From there I moved to Chicago, Illinois and worked for two large hospital based outpatient systems for the next 15 years practicing physical therapy in a one on one environment.
In 2014, my family and I relocated to the Atlanta area.
Feeling disenchanted with the current outpatient physical therapy model, I dreamed of being able to offer the same quality of care I was used to delivering. In 2019, I began seeing clients independently and grew into the practice I have today.
I believe in the importance of one on one physical therapy to help you reach your goals. I have a variety of complementary certifications and interests that allow me to offer a comprehensive approach to each client.
As a certified yoga teacher and a strength and conditioning specialist, I know the importance movement and exercise plays in the role to recovery. I have also been a patient so I understand what it feels like to struggle with an injury or a setback, and as a lifelong fitness enthusiast, I know what it takes to stay active throughout the different seasons of our lives.
I believe in a highly personalized, specialized and evidence-based approach to rehabilitation. I feel strongly that patients truly improve when provided with a combination of hands on physical therapy, specific exercise prescription, and extensive education surrounding their dysfunction including tips for prevention of future injuries.
As a physical therapist, I take a wholistic approach when assessing pain and dysfunction. We will work together to develop a plan that works for you to eliminate pain, optimize function and get you back to the activities of your life!
